  I'm really happy about how these tyres cope with the cold and wet weather. I got them as 'winter tyres " for my 'powerful rear-wheel-drive car' which during the previous winters was a bit of a hassle and made me very nervous to drive. After four months of using these tyres during winter, I can safely say that their grip is exceptional and I've even considered to keep them on all year. In a few weeks, I will change to my old regular tyres to compare and if these go better than the others I just might keep these tyres on for the whole year and not just winter season.

  I changed my Michelin Crossclimates, which were great and lasted approximately 20,000 miles, to Pirelli's. The Pirelli's seem a little quieter than the Crossclimates and provide better traction on the wet roads, especially in comparison to the worn Michelins. Under cold, wet, and at times frosty conditions, the traction has been excellent, although not particularly better than the Michelins. I haven't tried them in the snow yet. They've only gone 2,000 miles, so I can't determine how quickly the tread will wear down, but I feel confident that they will be as long lasting as the Michelins.
